Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. On the positive side, I enjoyed the room with two double beds, which was a nice surprise, although the decor was a bit outdated. However, the constant dripping shower tap and the noise from the road and loud guests returning late at night dampened my experience. Overall, it was a somewhat disappointing stay.
My stay at the hotel was a bit disappointing overall. The room temperature was so hot that my children woke up in the middle of the night and had to have cold showers. The heating wasn't working as promised, there were only about 5 TV channels with nothing good on, and the WiFi was very poor. The bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have liked, and there wasn't much to do in the hotel besides looking out the window. We even had to change rooms due to the noise from the road and constant traffic. The shower tap in the new room was dripping constantly, and there were very noisy guests coming back in the early hours of the morning, disturbing our sleep. I left feeling disappointed with my stay.
The hotel's prime asset is its location, close to Blarney Castle and within walking distance of the city center. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable despite a minor issue with a low shower head. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, although a slight privacy concern was raised due to public announcements. The dining experience was below par, offering limited options for breakfast, although halal products were available. The hotel's facilities were satisfactory.
The hotel's rooms were spacious and clean, making it a great choice for traveling with a friend, partner, or family. However, you may not likely get a double bed, so keep that in mind. The service was quite nice, with friendly staff members ready to assist. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby shopping centers, although it is located on a busy road. The dining experience had its ups and downs with delightful treats but also some issues with timing and cleanliness. Overall, a mixed experience with some highlights and a few drawbacks.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms were good, and the bathroom was nice, but unfortunately, there was no heating as promised, limited TV channels, and very poor Wi-Fi signal. The cleanliness of the bathroom was also subpar, and there weren't many activities to do in the hotel, especially if you have a baby.
Staying at The Commons Hotel was beyond our expectations. The ground floor rooms were convenient for luggage but not greatly soundproofed, leading to some noise from customers coming back from the bar. If you're considering a venue for an upcoming event, we highly recommend The Commons Hotel as they made our day truly magical, and we can't thank them enough for their outstanding effort.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were spacious but lacked enough towels and cups for all guests, and the initial cold temperature was a downside. However, the breakfast was good. The service was lovely, especially during our late-night check-in. The location was convenient for exploring the city and natural attractions, though some areas could use a revamp. Dining offered a variety of choices, though the breakfast setup was a bit chaotic.
During my trip through Ireland, I stayed in this hotel with rooms that were a great size and very friendly staff. However, there were some drawbacks like being given a room with a low shower head for disabled people, road and traffic noise requiring a room change, constant shower tap dripping, and noisy guests returning late at night, which was disappointing overall.
Our experience at the Commons Hotel was truly outstanding for our special event. The venue exceeded our expectations, making our day truly magical. However, the rooms were smelly and damp, and the noise from the main road disrupted our sleep. Breakfast also fell short of our expectations.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were not very big and in need of some basic repairs, which made the overall ambiance a bit shabby. On the bright side, the service was very good, and the staff, especially the lady at reception on Friday night, were really friendly and helpful. The location was very good for visiting Cork and surrounding sights, although it could get noisy at times. Unfortunately, the dining options left much to be desired, with a limited and haphazard breakfast. Overall, a stay with some highs and lows.
